The Lemonade Song

Have you ever tasted a very good glass of lemonade? No, I mean a really good glass of lemonade! The feeling in the tune should reflect the feeling of enjoying a nice glass of lemonade on a sunny day.

We are going into gospel mode. The album moves in different directions, but we are aiming for the same sound. We think that even though the difference between The Butcher and Lemonade seems big, it compliments each other in its own way.

The song is written in 3/4 and should have this gospel vibe with a lot of blues. Therefore, we really needed the organ to go crazy. Just give Gunnar the cue, and he will heat up the old Hammond A100 from 1963. The organ solo is also a part, where Gunnar and Chris can do almost whatever they want. You can for example hear that Gunnar is playing over different chords in the B-part. He can do that only because he is accompanying himself. After the organ solo the saxophone continues with a solo in the same vibe, and then an open drum solo.
